Choose Laser Engraving if:

• You want surface engraving, etching, or cutting through thin materials (typically under ½")

• You're okay with darkened or burnt edges — this is a natural result of the laser and can add a rustic, hand-crafted look

• Your design is primarily 2D: logos, text, patterns, or silhouette cuts

• You need fine detail work like intricate scrollwork or small text

Choose CNC Machining if:

• You need clean-cut edges with no burn marks or charring

• Your project involves thicker material or requires cutting through solid wood

• You want 3D carving, relief work, or sculpted surfaces

• You're building something structural like boxes, enclosures, or furniture components with joinery

Design & Testing Your project begins as a CAD file built to your specifications. Before any material gets cut, I run test cuts to dial in settings and ensure the final product meets quality standards. Rushing this step leads to wasted material and subpar results — so I don't rush it.

Material Sourcing Because I specialize in custom work, I don't stockpile large quantities of material. Every project is different, and yours might call for a specific wood species, thickness, or finish that I'll need to source fresh. This takes time, but it means you're not paying for me to warehouse inventory you'll never use.

What About Faster Options? Items I produce in batches — like the Hero Kits — are listed on the Store page and typically ship within 7–10 days. If you need something quickly, check there first.

For custom work, I'll always give you a realistic timeline upfront. I'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than leave you wondering where your order is.
